Daytona

 

Sunday afternoon Addie chilled out with AB and I (and Audrey) ate some fruit loops and took in the Daytona 500. We were both impressed with Dale Jr.'s new ride. I was a little disappointed that Jr. didn't win it. I think if the race had another two or three laps he would have taken the checkered flag. But any disappointment was overshadowed by the thrill of seeing Tony Stewart come oh so close only to have it ripped out from under him. I hope it hurt.

Dixie National

Gracie had a shootin good time at the Dixie National Rodeo last night. AB snapped a couple pics of her with her phone. The highlight for Gracie was the pink cowboy hat. She told me all about it this morning.

DON'T LOOK NOW, BUT I THINK THERE'S AN ALLIGATOR BEHIND ME

AB and the kids are having fun in Jackson this week. AB is taking it easy on her maternity leave, but she managed to muster enough energy to take the kids to the Wildlife museum. Gracie really dug the alligators.

Practice Run

Addie is getting excited about the arrival of her new sister. Last
night Bubba and Kimberly let her take John Burton for a test drive. We
think she's ready.

Sometimes, you just have to boogie. Gracie was feeling pretty good about herself in her "tank top" shorts and flip flops yesterday morning, so she danced a jig for me.

Saturday Afternoon with Friends

Saturday, Bill Davis brought William, Grace Anne, George, and McTyiere up to ride four-wheelers and tromp through the woods. We had a big time, and it was the perfect cure for the bad case of cabin fever from which we have all been suffering. It gave Lori a chance to rest too. She had her second round of chemotherapy Thursday. The weather was perfect.
