Last night, after our return from a visit to the Doctor's office, AB (the wife) took a seat on the couch, where but one couch pillow remained, only to discover one of the kids, probably the two-year-old, had marked the whole last remaining pillow with a blue Crayola marker.
For those of you keeping score, that's three pillows in four days. I know this may not sound like a big deal, but keep in mind that we have had these same pillows since 2003 without incident.
It's uncanny. Here's the timeline:
Tuesday 11 a.m.: The wife discovers the third and last pillow lost to a blue Crayola marker.
More studies are needed, but the documentation above certainly supports the reasonable conclusion that bad things come in three's.
The good news: My recliner is still safe.
