Gracie

I forgot to mention a few new words that I have heard Gracie say the last couple days. Two mornings ago we were sitting aroud the breakfast table just after breakfast and I was about to call my friend Bill Davis and I told AB, "I'm going to call Bill," as I reached for the phone. Gracie ran over to my and grabbed at the phone and in that sweet little sing-song voice of hers "oooh, Beeil".

Then yesterday when I picked her up from school, she said "Wal-Mart" and "Big Bird". The Oh Bill thing is my favorite.

Sleep

Addison slept a little better last night. She woke me up at 2:30 for a diaper change. I changed her, passed her to AB and then dove back into my pillow. Waking up in the middle of the night, even if its only for a few minutes, makes you tired. I could not force myself out of bed until 8 this morning.

We had a really good Bible study last night at Bill and Lori's house. Seven families were there. It felt good to be in a small group format again. I loved our fellowship group in New York. Reading through Tim's notes on the Gospel has been great for me. It is amazing how complicated we can make the Gospel. It is just so simple, and yet somehow our sinful hearts always managed to foul it up. I am really looking forward to going through this study and diving into God's Word.

Like I said, she is starting to imitate everything. One of her favorite things to do is try to wear AB's shoes. Posted by Picasa

Gracie thought taking AB and Addie's picture was a good idea. If you think this is cute, you should see her out in the front yard spraying the weeds! She is starting to imitate everything. Posted by Picasa

Addison was not what we would classify as "a good sleeper" last night. Thankfully, AB let me sleep on the side of the bed away from the crib. After I woke up, Anita Beth figured out a way to get some sleep. Posted by Picasa

Trinity Fellowship

Our lives have been dominated by our new church plant the last few days. The work is exhausting, but we are excited to be doing something for the Kingdom. The Lord is really blessing us though. We had six families represented at our first meeting. There has been so much anxiety in mine and Anita Beth's hearts and minds, but now that we have set our minds on the goal of this new work I am feeling much more assured that this is right. Please pray for our new church, that it will Honor and Please God and that he will bless us with a place and group by and with which we can grow closer to Him.

David and April Dierks

We are excited to report that our friends David and April are expecting a new baby! The due date is in January. Congratulations David and April!

What do you think about this web site?

I would like comments comparing this web site to the one that has just pictures. I would also like to see how the comments feature works. Blogger.com is sooooo easy to use. So you have something to compare it to, www.msnusers.com/jakeandanitabeth/shoebox.msnw is the old web site. Keep in mind that I am running out of storage on the old web site. I do not think Blogger.com has storage limits.

This is us the day after Addison was born. Our first family shot. It is hard to get an 18 month old to sit still. Posted by Picasa
I am running out of storage space on my web site so I am thinking of using a Blog.
