The Adams girls had a great time at the Mississippi Braves game
tonight. It was dollar hot dog night. Needless to say, I'm quite full.
Gracie and Addie whined dutifully when it was time to head home.
Evidence of a successful family outing.

Addie just found out she's too young for the swim team.

She is upset to say the least.

Saturday with the Kids

Today, we visited my grandmother Weezie and the Flowood Library. AB
once again showed why she's the best Mom in da world. My kids love the
library. Hilarious.

Spike's New Bed

He's diggin it. Also got him a kong - a little rubber chewey that you
stuff treats in. He REALLY likes it. Life's been pretty good to Spike
today.

It's such a hit with the big girls, they haven't noticed Audrey stole
their necklace!

Odd Man Out

That's me. In bed. AB and I share a relatively small bed, which has always been fine with me because we're relatively small people.

If you know us well, you know that one of our few points of pride in our parenting skills is that we raised what we call "good sleepers." That means they go to bed early and sleep all night. All three of our kids started sleeping through the night at about four to six weeks old. For that matter, they also take good naps.

Until now.

Something has happened. The 4-year-old keeps coming to our bedroom at about midnight and crawling in. I used to take her back to her room, but she has adapted. Now she goes over to her Mom's side of the bed. It didn't affect me so I didn't say anything. Last night, the little blonde 3-year-old jumped in too...except she didn't know the Mom's side of the bed trick. I woke AB up and we marched them both back to their bedroom.

When I woke up this morning the 4-year-old was back.

The Ritz

While AB was enjoying the pleasures of Chuck E. Cheese (see below), I
was eating a delicious lunch at The Ritz. No, not the Ritz Carlton,
the West Point, Mississippi Ritz. The smalltown hip eatery had an
awesome Mississippi Catfish soft taco and equally good keylime pie. If
you're ever in West Point, check it out. Now, off to the courthouse...
